the only reason to buy a diesel car is for fuel economy. The whole “diesels are torque monsters” is a myth, they just suck at making horsepower. There’s nothing about the Diesel Cycle which makes such engines inherently capable of more torque; the difference has been because diesels have no danger of detonation so

Thanks, makes more sense now, love learning something new every day

I have motorcycles, and an electric bicycle. The bike lets me commute to work in a reasonable amount of time and sweat along bike paths in Los Angeles that skirt a lot of traffic and lights. Horses for courses, as they say.

I feel that I’ve gone wrong somewhere. Yeah. That’s wrong for sure. Wait. What the hell? Eh. Too lazy to change it.

Glad to see the GM understeer club is still alive and well. I present my own contribution. BEHOLD:

Back when my wife and I were dating, we spent an afternoon with her dad at an autocross he was running in his Street Prepared class 911. At that event I saw a guy running in Stock with a Chevy Cavalier wagon. Right then and there I knew several things to be true:

I have seen many, many turbo engines hit 300k miles with the original turbo, in good condition too, to boot. They don’t have to be all that much more expensive.

Rich people piss me off. (Obviously I am not one)

off the top of my head...

I worked at a Buy-Here Pay-Here lot my family owned in the early ‘90s. We ran the gamut of odd behavior. It’s worth noting that it was in Central Florida. A few highlights:

- The time I had a raging hangover and drove a customer’s mid-70s F150 for evaluation. Customer was in the car and I didn’t abuse it at all. It

Now that I think about it, I’ve been around waste water treatment facilities for vehicle factories and there’s a solid chance of this happening outside of a LOTO incident. There might be open tanks with machinery operating in them where you could fall over or through guardrail. Then again, I shouldn’t speculate

Nobody wins when you play LOTO LOTTO. Dang it, people, keep the fuck away from energized equipment.

I think GM is finally heading in the direction of leaning out all the mess they previously had and I do not see any large benefit from an FCA partnership.

The official car of looking fast, but not having the means to go all that fast.

yeah!
