Except that in most cases, AirBnB hosts are exempt from the FHA due to the Mrs. Murphy provision.
This is a weird one for me. On one hand, of course, hate discrimination. On the other hand, it’s people renting out their personal homes. If I don’t want to rent to you based on whatever, even if it’s a shitty awful reason, then I’m not going to.
Elizabeth Gilbert is still news. The fact that she was getting divorced broke a few months ago, a big deal for her legion of fans. Part of her brand would be sharing this info publicly. I believe she’s sincere here but I’m also cynical about it...then again, maybe she’s always been into women and denied that, which is…
Wouldn’t be the first time. Her first marriage ended because she cheated. She conveniently left that part out of Eat, Pray, Love, but she wrote all about it in a piece in the NY Times last year. Apparently, she’s never been faithful, except to her own inflated sense of self.
A more plausible explanation is that she’s the sort of asshole writer that gets involved with people who she thinks would make a good story she can sell.
Oh you’re gonna see it.
I'm having a hard time finding sympathy for her, because it's not about her. I tried the book and just couldn't get through Italy with her. Almost didn't even get through the divorce part, I just kept yelling at her to grow up. The really cynical side of me is noticing that she has a relationship with a built in exit…
“You don’t love me. You just love my cancer.”
A+++++++ gif deployment.
Everyone deserves to find their person.
Except for her ex-husband.
Gilbert is the epitome of navel-gazing thirst.
But how can I make my friend’s cancer about ME?
I’m glad she found her person or whatever, but this line ruined it: “Death — or the prospect of death — has a way of clearing away everything that is not real.” She is so insufferable.
A tiny, cynical part of my soul imagines that this will somehow be spun into a book followed by a movie, but even if it is, I’m good with it.
I kinda of feel like this lady likes things in her life to be a spectacle. It doesn't really seem to be hurting anyone, though so...
Here’s another huge wrinkle - By taking THIS LONG to resign, there will be no special election, and Hawk, a Republican, allows Abbott, a frothing-at-the-mouth-I-got-mine-fuck-you Far Right fuckward Republican, to APPOINT her replacement, instead of having the citizens of Dallas (a rather blue city overall in Texas)…
I think Leto took the part of Joker just so he could act like a deranged sociopath for a few months.
Tom is internet famous, not Hollywood famous, which is what counts. And please, you had 3 months to have an epiphany and realize things aren’t always as they’re presented to us.
