I've thought about it, but I'm sort of nervous to start something like that. Do you have any experience with sleep medication?

I've been sleeping sooo terribly for the last couple of months. I'm basically always tired, even when I get a full night of sleep, because I don't ever go into a deep sleep and I wake up every couple of hours. I really don't understand this, because I feel like I've been handling my stress better than usual since the…
White Ninja! The creators stopped last year, but if you've never seen it before there's quite a bit to go through. Also the creators are my people! Well, from the same smallish, obscure Canadian city any way.
I have a coffee date tomorrow afternoon. I haven't been on a date in 6 years, and I was 15 at the time, so it basically doesn't count. I met this guy off of OKC, and I'm so nervous. What do I do? What do people say on dates? I don't how to act around people!
Yep, I can usually force myself to go (and generally end up having a good time once I'm out), but I just couldn't get over the hump of leaving the house tonight. Ah well, I'll try again next week.
I had an invite to an event tonight that would have been really fun, and I had people to go with, but I'm now sitting at home, because I chickened out... So my night now consists of doing laundry, crying to Secondhand Lions, and studying for a midterm on Monday. Lame.
The idea of networking just freaks me out! I'll have to get used to it though, and I might as well start now. Thanks for replying.
These are all logical points, and things I probably wouldn't have thought of, so thanks! I guess showing that I'm socially capable means that I'll have to leave out the part where 18 year old me thought he was a total babe ; )
Should I say something about how I found him? I had to find his last name from an old syllabus, but after that a google search found him pretty quickly. It would be odd to say I googled him, right?
This is true. Thanks for the reassurance!
Well I had to do a bit of digging through old school papers to get his last name from a syllabus, but beyond that it was just googling. I'll have to psyche myself up a bit, but I suppose I might as well do it. Thanks for replying!
How weird would it be for me to contact a former T.A. of mine from a first year class? He definitely wouldn't remember me, because I spent my first year of uni doing my best not to be noticed by anybody, but his academic career has gone in a direction that is similar to where I hope mine will eventually go. He's now…
I realize that I might have sounded like I thought you were unqualified for your job, but that definitely wasn't something I meant to suggest. I hope I didn't offend you!
It's definitely a school that I've looked at, and the I've been dreaming about moving to the east coast for years!
I think there may be a higher demand for librarians with focuses in STEM fields. I'm more focused on history, literature and language in my undergrad, and it's pretty undervalued as an area of study.
Thanks for your response. Out of curiousity, how did you end up being a teacher librarian without the library training? Even though it's not your chosen field, what do you enjoy about it? What age range is the school that you work at? Too many questions, sorry :)
Thank you so much! You have no idea how much I appreciate this! If it helps, I'm in Canada, a midsized city in a prairie province, but not planning on staying here much longer that it takes to complete my undergrad.
Thanks for your input and suggestions. I realize that it's not necessarily the best field to go into right now, and it sucks that people who preserve and disseminate knowledge/literature/ arts etc. are so under appreciated. I'll let my youthful idealism guide for a little while longer. I appreciate your taking the…
Are there any librarians or archivists around tonight? I'm hoping to do a masters degree in one (or both) of these. I'm partway done my undergrad degree, so I still have a little while until I'll be doing any grad school, But I'm kind of wondering what I should be doing to prepare for future schooling i.e. classes…
Haha, maybe I am pursuing a profession for older people! I won't be doing a masters for a few years yet. Even if it's true I'll probably fit in just fine, I'm basically a 60yo in a 20yo body ;)
