You guys are so slow…Cormac McCarthy. Duh.

McCarthy is out and MacMillan is in.

Probably because I was young. Probably because it was my first Brooks film, but History of the World, Part I, to me is brilliant. When I was a kid my Dad showed me the movie (on VHS taped from WPIX 11) and it still remains one of my favorite quotable Brooks films.

I get that people want to focus on the Voting Rights Act, etc. but LBJ's earlier years are far more fascinating and really show his personality warts and all. Not that as a resident of NJ we need to make us look any worse…the story of how gambling in AC came to be is fascinating and good tale to tell.

Yeah, she sort of just checked-out. My guess is the producers had some rough notes of her performance in the pilot.

A whole season of James and his new found dedication to Transcendental Meditation.

I was really hoping they would come back to do another Trilogy Tour Set. I believe the next set was The Top, The Head On The Door and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, which while not great, would have been fun to see. Their Beacon shows a few years back were just un-freaking believable.

I've never been to the Bowl, but I am perpetually jealous that you guys have a nice spot like that. The NE just gets MSG, Jones Beach and PNC…which all suck for many different various reasons.

Easy. Dylan and Tom Waits.

Yeah, saw him in AC and it really was a great tour. I even forgave him for the whole "rule card" they passed out to the audience. Getting the right atmosphere was key to the success of those shows.

Sounds cliche, but next time he is in the great Garden State, scalp a bleeder at Meadowlands. Seeing him live is the ultimate test. And as a Jersey native you got to see him at least once, in New Jersey that is.

Devils and Dust is certainly worth it…not as good as GOTJ or Nebraska, but solid late period Bruce.

They just haven't updated their talking points or allegiance to failed policies. Look up Reagan's reaction to the shooting of John Lennon, he uses the same coded language and BS logic to dispel logical gun control measures.

tl;dr but Springsteen f'n rules.

This…a million times. Also, although they are not prog per se, I would add any number of prog bands to the list as well.

I love it when people try to convince me I need to listen to the Syd Barrett stuff. And I am always like, "So what you are telling me PF was good for 3 years, but then went on to suck for a generation. Yeah, I'll look into that."

I took my fiance to see The Nose. I am still paying for it.

Very much agreed. Michigan too, was a good album.

Rap/Hip Hop gets a bad wrap because people put it under one heading. You would never do that with Rock for example. For me, I like mostly positive message and good beats. So, I always fall into the old-school, Talib Kweli, PE, J-Live, Little Brother, Wu-Tang group, De La camp. Meanwhile I tend to stay away from

Yeah, not saying I don't enjoy their albums, but don't see how people view them as a second coming. But agree they probably deserve it.
