@Mr. Bean: Gadgets..there are lost gadgets...hurley is on lost...weezer like lost?....put hurley on cover of new album...slow day at the office in Gizmodo..—- Posted!

the tag distractions on this is fitting - that picture, yep, its a distraction. It's a distraction from being able to really delve into the genius prose that this fantastic article is written in. I wish I could give it some more of my time...but...i..must...scroll...up

Maybe the robot will get it wrong, and when we ask the cookie to taste like porridge, it will taste like chicken. hmmmmm

Makes sense - with something being more resilient, more lightweight and all that other crap as well as taking up less space while at it then they can pack more gear into the limited space they have with each ipod, iphone, ipad...coolio :D

@Rod MacLeod: That's all part of it being a communication device though...no? communication is also email, AIM, skype, twitter,facebook...and last time i checked it does all that pretty well.

@DingoJunior: It's true - apple's antenna is unique to that handset...oh well - imperfect world. Wish they could have gotten it right the first time round and not screwed us over.

@DingoJunior: I haven't really looked into the degree of how much you can cause simliar effects on other cell phones, but I do know that signal attenuation, due to covering a part of the phone with your hand does happen. Maybe nowhere near to the degree of the iPhone, but it still happens....right?

@shufflemoomin: The situation with this whole antenna thing is made worse than it is by all the media coverage its received. The "death-grip" is only relevant to a small % of iPhone users, and even then, it at worst drops a few bars but the quality of the call stays the same. Unless you're in areas of weak coverage -

"So why'd they launch such a poor excuse for a communication device?"

@armendni: Dude - that goes without saying haha.

Yeah but the college experience kicks ass - people would rather not miss out on that. I know its expensive in the US but in England - its fine. So college or sit-at-home-dont-have-fun-dont-meet-people degree? College please.

He must be thinking - snap! Here comes retirement. I've got an affair under my belt, a good career and some $50 Million on top of all my other cash.

This is oddly relevant - just watched office space...hatred towards a jerk-off boss seems to be the special of the day

Just called off my order of LSD. This will do nicely for now.

See - this could be done better. In order to truly be a great ad it needs to have the words "Magical" and "Revolutionary" in it. These words must be repeated multiple times in the ad in order for their meaning to sink in to the reader.

Im in malta on vacation...south side biiittchess

I'm sorry surfboard with headlights. but you've been relegated to the "no-picture" section for the main Gizmodo main page. I loved you so much but they've taken your picture away. :(

@Insecur1tyGuard: Yes and his shoes - they're never a green/yellow hue with black trim! Ha! Everyone knows he alwwwyaas wears white sneakers.
