Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!
Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!
I know, right, the show is just amazing. I have a lot of shows that I like to watch; but Jane the Virgin is one of the few shows from last year that I'm actually considering re-watching, something that I don't take very lightly considering how many new shows, books, and games that I have to take up my (limited) free…
It definitely seems to be a similar tone with Pushing Daisies, though it probably won't be as literally whimsical and quirky like that show could be. (Now this just reminds me that I need to finish watching Pushing Daisies. I finished the 1st season and loved it, but I never got around to the second.)
Yeah, I was worried about that at first; but the show is getting an average of 1.5 million viewers per episode or so. I think it's safe to say it'll get another season; they're probably just going so fast in order to have the show air in October for Halloween.
I absolutely cannot wait for Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend tonight; as a huge fan of Jane's first season, I am so excited to see what antics Jane and her family get up to this season. I am also a huge fan of musicals, and so to see a musical comedy show that appears to be getting great reviews airing…
Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!
It might as well be, honestly; though it technically isn't bigger on the inside.
Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!
That's probably what I'm going to end up doing if I end up doing comment reviews of the rest of the SD shows after Be Cool. I'm particularly worried about watching the episodes with Scrappy-Doo in them, since I absolutely despise him.
I really like the Cyber Chase film as well, when the gang ends up inside a video game about themselves and has to play all the levels. That one was really cool because of its last sequence, which took place at a carnival, where the gang met a virtual version of themselves that looked like the original incarnation…
I am too; I think it works pretty well with the tone of the show. It still takes some getting used to, though.
All of these points are valid; and it's true that the animation is perhaps the worst aspect of the show. But as a huge Scooby-Doo fan who has had to deal with the fact that none of the shows (sans Mystery Incorporated) are actually very good at all, I was impressed that the show was very funny and the characters…
It does, at least for me; it does take some getting used to, however. It really does look like a Family Guy parody of Scooby-Doo at first glance (which wasn't my own original thought; but it's so true that I have to reiterate it here)
It's not nearly as crazy awesome as SDMI; it's basically an update of the original show, but with the gang having actual personalities and it actually being funny. It's good overall.
Oh hey, the A.V. Club is reviewing Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!'s first week. Well . . . This is awkward . . . (backs away slowly)
Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!
I haven't actually gotten The Enchiridion yet; it probably won't be for a while because I'm currently broke. But I actually pre-ordered the guide a while ago on Amazon, and it was approved for release-day arrival or something, so I got it on Tuesday when it was actually released. It's a really cool book, though;…
This episode was amazing, as per usual at this point. I loved actually getting confirmation that Pearl was just one of hundreds on Homeworld that are basically servants, and it was great seeing Pearl finally being confident in herself. (Also, punching Peridot was a plus.)
Daphne was pretty awesome in SDMI; but that show just did an amazing job at giving each member of the gang distinct personalities and character arcs, I'm not even sure who I'd consider my favorite. I'd probably say Velma, just because I always identified with her since she was the nerdy one and I liked how morally…
Yeah, Daphne's great this time around; I'm just worried whether they can keep up at giving her a successful gag each episode or if she'll end up being weird just for the sake of being weird.
