The way I do it, though is simpler.

Isn't that a bit harsh to paint Tynt's so sinisterly? They are simply providing a service that seems legitimate.

It's not as easy to use the Marketplace and I have to agree. Instead, I use Cyrket - especially since it has a sort function. It's not perfect, but it, too, has the QR codes.

@wjglenn: I think the OP was referring to an ACTUAL map. Like, placing it in a conspicuous area like the passenger seat so that thieves might think you are still using paper maps instead of GPS.

@Blah8: Because then your contact list would end up unmanageable. Or rather, you'd have to scroll through so many windows to get to a phone number. Even if you've organized it.

@JobesMcGee: Cool idea. I do that with passwords so I don't have to memorize a bunch - just use a handful of them and modify them with each site like "CherryGMonTop10" for GMail and "CherryHMonTop10" for Hotmail.

@RussianTaco: My cousin who works at an eyeglass store said that the coatings like higher end anti-reflection don't do well under soap and water. He suggests using a diluted alcohol solution.

@FriedPeeps: Hahaha... yeah... but the letters are tiny and having to bring it close to the screen AND wait for a bright scene to get enough light... :D

@echo off: Except at night... which is when I came up with the idea. :) I was in bed watching movies on my computer and trying to see the tiny R and L was getting to be a pain. I needed something tactile.

@Citizen Kang: Because it's not indicative of SlideIT. It spells out "efficient".

Ceramic knives... LOVE them. Had mine for 5 years before I decided to buy another one. While the new one is really sharp, the old one isn't that far behind. I still use both and can get paper thin slices.

I use Repagination. It still works with current Firefox, but you have to download it from here: [blog.andreineculau.com] If ever at a loss as to where to find it, Google it and go to the Mozilla page for it and look in the comments.

Oh, and Scrybe had pre-installed gestures which were completely useless like Y for Yahoo (which I never use) and E for Ebay (again, I never use). I'd rather it be completely customizable, but the best it could offer was opening programs and going to particular websites.

When I installed Scrybe, I liked it, but it eventually got tiresome. Not really all that useful.

@DiExMachina: Electric kettle and boiling water is much safer than fire, alcohol and a string.

@Andrew Hadro: Thank you!!! I will try this. I tried the boiling water method today and it was easy, but I don't have a wine bottle cutter and had to use this makeshift rig. It wasn't easy for that part.

I have been looking for something like this to do with my students. This is brilliant because it doesn't involve fire or other dangerous methods. The kids could easily do this and have something nice to present.

I made one using mylar (like from a balloon). I rolled a section about 4" x 4" around a skewer stick, and then inserted it into a straw, leaving about .5" hanging out. I then taped around the straw to secure the mylar.
