I suppose everyone has attachments to random book characters, and mine is Val. One of the reasons being is that she's a seemingly "different" sort of wilding. Diversity among them (ie not all violent killing machines) and Martin's seemingly setting her (and her sister) up as some sort of völva-type adds richness to

the voice.

I enjoyed that speech, too. It fit nicely with the endless cycle of shit/slop.

No, the theory is that Tyrion and Dany are half-siblings. Jon is pretty firmly confirmed her nephew at this point.

Yes. It's one of the reasons Cersei is a little angry about everything- if she were born a man, she would be her father's heir.

It's not so much their blondeness but Baratheon dark hair for everyone since the beginning of recorded time that was the issue. But, yes- Lannisters are blond. Jamie should be blond.

Who did Jon go to that doesn't already have a big castle? In that one episode he went to the Glovers (who told him no, they showed up later, after the battle- still get to keep their castle) and Mormont (who said yes, she gets to keep her castle.)

Yeah, the dark, cold, abandoned castle with Stannis' war room was all for the look of it.

That's my thing. It looked like nobody had lived there for a century, and it's only been at most, 4 years? There were even still Targaryen loyalists there after Robert won- Robert sent Stannis there to keep people in line.

I expected the household objects to come alive for a musical adventure…..

True….I just read about it and apparently one of it's features is that it's extremely difficult to breach.

I mean, it looked like nobody lived there for centuries when in reality it's only been about 4 or 5 years.

Cersei's not that bright?

I believe she called it "making stupid choices", but yes, I would categorize it as stubborn, as well.

When Sansa sasses Jon in front of everyone….
When Sansa told Jon that she loves and misses Ned and Robb, but holy crap, were they dumb……

Yeah, all the back talk in front of everybody, I was like "Girl, you have guests."

Holland is really great. And the reveal of how the Vulture is linked to the rest of the story was genuinely surprising. Keaton with the wings right after Birdman is hilarious and that car scene is definitely a standout. I also like the villain is essentially a thief. That's very traditional superhero stuff and

I was like, "Did she say "cum'? As in, cum?"

I've now watched all the episodes, and it's definitely more than a B

I've watched the first two episodes- I'd give it more than a B. It's pretty harrowing.
