To me actually the photo *is* that bad. The idea of a man doing this to me in my sleep with the apparent participation of other people, as a joke? To find it later on a cd presumably many people received? To see his grinning face? It’s horrifying.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. I think part of it is also self projection, when you are close to someone and “get” each other (or think you do), I think there’s a tendency to assume that they are like you and think like you and we interpret their behavior through our own frame of experience

I also think that it says something that his first reaction was anger/irriration at the question. You can say you know the person and believe them, but his reaction was hostility to a person for just asking about existing harassment allegations. How does that make sense as a reaction unless he just wanted to shut down…
