Isn't Nina the same one who made anti-semetic comment s about the special election despite losing as badly in other districts as well? Or am I wrong (I live next to Ohio but I can't even keep my own candidates straight let alone ones I can't vote on).

Perhaps you’re confusing me with the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (who endorsed Rep. Brown) or the OH-11 Democratic Primary voters (who overwhelmingly chose Rep. Brown)?

I didn’t think Turner would win but I didn’t expect her to lose so badly. When it comes down to it Ohio’s 11th is going to have a Democratic rep in the House. So wouldn’t you rather keep the Democrat who already has a seat at the table (in terms of being “in” with other Dems) and who’s ready to work with the President

Gee, I wonder why more people don’t take progressives seriously...

My Latin is a little rusty, but the phrase status quo more accurately describes not having enough votes to pass something amazing, that it does passing stuff that is insufficiently progressive.

Imagine that.

Not only does this read like sour grapes, but as someone who hectors the Dems to pass stuff, shouldn’t it matter that Rep. Brown is much more likely to be a reliable vote for team Dem?

Turner said roughly 30 percent of the district’s turf is new, and those voters deserved an opportunity to weigh in on who their congressional representative should be.

Shontel Brown’s primary victory last night was an important step forward toward building a better Ohio and a better America. I was proud to endorse Shontel in her primary bid for re-election because she has been a strong leader in Congress and a partner in the work to cut costs and create jobs. She is focused on

In an update that shocks absolutely no one who lives in the region: Turner got crushed in the primary on Tuesday. Turns out that elections are hard to win when you spend all your time insulting the people you want to vote for you.

LOL

“Nina Turner Doesn’t Need the Establishment”

Some of the worst misinformation comes from other Black people. *waves to Kanye and Ice Cube*

This is part of the problem. Too many people focusing on who they can blame for this injustice and not enough acting to keep it from happening in the first place.

Completely agree.

Fuck anyone who said “Hillary and Trump are the same” in 2016. Fucking nightmare.

There was literally an open Supreme Court seat when this clown, with her gimmick glasses and sitcom catchphrase, was actively campaigning against the Democratic nominee in 2016. Not in the primary, but the general election.  She was still doing in 2020 and won’t answer if she voted Biden or not because of course she

Nina Turner, like Jill Stein, is a useful idiot for the Russians. To wit:

She does, actually, when “the establishment” means “a majority of voters in the district she is running it.”

What does Nina Turner offer? She’s not a serious candidate. Her entire purpose in life is grandstanding, rolling her eyes, and diminishing Democrats. If she were to win the seat, she’d be another useless member of The Squad and vote with Republicans on legislation popular with Democrats.
