Yeah,I also think it could come in handy,like if someone gets ragey or something,and decides to tailgate you/flashes their lights/intimidate you/etc. Technically,you could angle it down into the car instead of viewing the rear window,and keep an eye on kids/pets as well using that feature..

I have an old Galaxy S4 that I don’t use,and downloaded Cam2Go from the Play store for free. You can even switch it back and forth between the front camera and the rear camera,if for some reason,you need to film what’s going on behind you.

I just wish these things didn’t require jury rigging for power. I’d love to see manufacturers start to include a power port on the rearview mirror or in the trim above the windshield edge for a dash cam. I don’t want to snake a power cable.

All these videos definitely make me nervous. Regularly encounter these types of drivers but have so far managed to avoid disaster by means of my own diligence and quick reaction times, but it’s probably a matter of time before my luck runs out.
