He wasn’t admiring a pass, he’s checking if the puck goes into the zone so he can know if he can skate in. That’s how hockey works, you do occasionally have to keep track of where the puck is. It’s not a hot take, not even a lukewarm take...it’s just a bad take from a guy saying anything because he knows he doesn’t

The irony of you saying this, on a piece about Laura not ignoring the WashPo article on PFT and then writing a whole piece bashing him when he has never done anything directly to her, doesn’t escape me.

Could you imagine being so jealous off the success of a rival website’s blogger that you invent an internet spat with that person out of thin air?

It is kinda shitty that Laura went after someone who never did anything to her directly. I just saw it as Deadspin doesn’t like Barstool, Barstool doesn’t like Deadspin, so Laura attacks the most successful writer at Barstool. Kinda petty. Then just selectively posting the craziest sounding emails she got to make the

His name is actually Wayne Tables

The petty part is where Laura tries to drag down a person who has done nothing to her. The petty part is attacking a rival website that is growing and thriving while Deadspin languishes behind. You’ll say that Barstool has said things to Laura, but Laura and other writers at Deadspin have said things about Barstool,

I mean, dude gets slandered for doing his job. They get free reign to say whatever the fuck they want for a day. Always great when you try to victim blame though.

Yeah, not the point of the post, but I thought the lawyer came off as someone with a good heart who’s genuinely acts in the interest of justice.

Nice opinion ya got there....

They’d be random because a scheduled inspection defeats the purpose. Each household would be inspected once a year. Also, each gun owner MUST have a gun safe, and that is a condition that would need to be verified before the purchase of any gun could be processed.

What PFT does is more of a satirical commentary on the state of sports coverage, with irony just being one of the devices he uses. It really is good content, and just saying that it’s a “meathead” audience that’s driving them to be the #1 sports podcast is a huge oversimplification. They win awards and get recognition

Just curious, what was good about Laura’s piece in your opinion?

Or maybe we can realize that he has his own voice and own body of work that speaks for itself, and we can evaluate whether we think he’s a shitty person based on that.

Then why not just go after the boss here? And please don’t act like Deadspin doesn’t do at least a monthly article trashing Barstool, so it’s a 2 way street.

He’s the most talented individual at Barstool, and she drags him down to being the person in the office who’s only there to make the company seem moderate. Wouldn’t call that brave.

“Every so often, some publication or other—often a fancy one—will run a fawning profile of PFT Commenter...these profiles are all more or less the same.”

Assuming the average inspector could do 4 inspections a day, which is perfectly reasonable, it comes out to 37,700 inspectors. Now all you have to do is train certain police officers on how to do this task and you can save a tons on this. There are 1.2 million police officers in this country so the idea that this

I say gun laws should include a home inspection to make sure that the person buying the gun has a safe way to store the weapon in the home, and then random inspections every year to make sure that the gun is actually being stored in a safe way. No person under the age of 18 who has themselves undergone a background

You’re so right, the cop saw into the car, at night, through tinted windows and knew he was black. Sure.

Their were 3 officers interviewing her and I’d guess she’ll be kicked out.
