I get that video game and card game competitions are a thing but I can’t find the words to describe how little I care. I wish there was a way to hide Compete stories from the Deadspin feed.

It’s just annoying to read on a sports site when it’s as much of a sport as chess is (which is, not at all). As an avid chess player, I’d be annoyed if I saw 7% of Deadspin posts devoted to Carlsen, Nakamura, Anand, So, etc.

I knew somebody was going to check my math. I should have said 25% of the time I visit Deadspin, the top story is about esports (I don’t refresh it often enough to see each post as it comes up).
