I had never heard of it until moving to SNE and a friend’s parents threw it sliced on the grill with butter.

And no offense but “I lost 20 pounds” means jack shit unless those 20 put you in a category where you AREN’T obese. Progressive movement is good, but no medical professional in their right mind would tell someone that lost 50 pounds when they weigh 350 “welp you’re A-OK let’s pack it up folks!”

The Dragon Prince for Netflix, which captures Avatar’s spirit so much better than Korra did”

I genuinely liked XII’s gambit/ license system - in some ways I preferred the original over Zodiac Age. XIII was a slog (though Lightning Returns had a decent battle system) and nearly EVERYTHING about XV turned me off to the point that I lost faith in a decent FF game.

If you haven't read it, Peggy Orenstein's Schoolgirls was written closer to the aughts and references this book. Orenstein followed girls of different races, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds in her book, and it's IMHO more reflective of those experiences and acknowledges the double-edged sword of the pros and

Orenstien’s book had been an annual reread of mine for about a decade now, though I’ll point out the AAUW’s Shortchanging Girls, Shortchanging America was reported in 98, not 94. Orenstein cites it repeatedly in her work. What also came out of this, and other works on self valuation and relational aggression in girls

It shows you how far this site has fallen when the bulk of the comments are immediately shitting on Woodley for what was obviously a sarcastic comment about her knowing and valuing him as more than just a sportsball guy. She KNOWS what football is, people and she’s been to Green Bay.

Seriously; I’m surprised that no one has brought up the not so secret rumor that all of his relationships have been beards and that he’s really dating his “best friend and assistant”- who just happens to live with him.

Don’t pull this. The owner/ CEO/ manager doesn’t give a shit if you fail to tip their employees, and they’re certainly not changing their labor practices.

Personally, my interest in (US) Drag Race jumped the shark in season 11, where like BrookeLynn in Untucked, I just wanted to bury my ass under the cushions until it was over. The long premieres, the constant overlap of other properties, the All Stars seasons so close together that they’re virtually meaningless, and

Universal is doing just fine- they’ve already filed vehicle patents for a third Potter area. They’re not stupid- folks would only daytrip the parks before Potter- now they’ve opened two new resorts in the past two years to deal with extended stays.

Sue me, but the acting field wasn’t that deep that particular year in any category, hence why Winslet (who is an amazing actress) also got the nod despite an awful script and why fricken Helen Hunt won. IMHO, the best performances that year were Kim Basinger (who won for LA Confidential), Judi Dench, and Helena Bonham

The sheer volume of shit put upon public schools for what they are funded and for what their employees are paid is asinine.

My guess is that the film, while likely not a great pillar of filmmaking, actually isn’t that bad and that to review it would have to mean admiting that Ziegler did a perfectly serviceable job with her role and actually had some good moments. And that wouldn’t be woque, because everyone knows there isn’t an entire

Twilight Princess is still my favorite Zelda, even with the stupid lighting bugs/ dispel the Twilight elements (not Agatha’s bugs, because Agatha is precious). Arbiters Grounds and Snowpeak are two of my all time favorite dungeons in the series, and the game knew how to optimize the Wii’s motion controls.

Agreed. XII-2 and Lightning Returns finally figured that one out. XIII had what, four hours of gameplay dedicated to Sazh and Vanille going to an AMUSEMENT PARK TOWN only for them to talk to no one and interact with nothing?

In the original FFXII release (not Zodiac or International Job System), new or Guest party members would start at two levels above your primary party member (at that point in the game, Vaan)- up until a point. So, if you wanted to breeze through the Barheim Passage the first time around, you grind Vaan until he hits

It will be nice to play Skyward Sword without the wonky controller mechanics- there's a part of me that still isn't quite certain that my neutral feelings toward the game were story-based, control/combat-based, or a combination of both.

The datalogs, split party and flashbacks are what put me off XIII.

(of course that is Final Fantasy X)
