Different strokes for different folks. Ridgeline is for people who know what they need it for, Tacoma is much more truck-bro oriented.

It all depends on why you need a pickup truck. If it’s to go offroad, Tacoma is better. If it’s to haul stuff in the bed, Ridgeline is better.
While the Ridgeline will definitely handle the vast majority of real world use by most truck buyers (especially in urban environments), it’s nowhere near as capable as a Toyota Tacoma, or any other body-on-frame pickups.
A ridgeline is nowhere in the same league as a Tacoma. It’s an AWD Honda that may be good in some off road conditions, but not ideal. It’s a front wheel drive biased crossover.
I’m really not seeing major defects here. Also, that JD power article really doesn’t look like they are referencing PPF. This article is just regurgitated click-bait. Do better.
Kind of a stretch to call that a dull finish. While I agree with the bad quality of the work, which was most likely done at a local dealer and not by the factory. I can clearly read that tesla solar stand in the finish.
There aren’t many talented writers here anymore.
You’re digging deep there.
I’m not here to defend Tesla, but I also think this anti-Tesla trope isn’t one that’s going to build a community of people who care about the content here.
If at the end of the day Jalopnik ceases to exist, that doesn’t change my life very much.
Nothing against any of the talented writers…
I wonder if Jalopnik would still be around if it weren’t for the ad revenue generated from anti-Tesla content.
Yes, that’s correct. Civilians will be able to choose from the 2.3-liter Ecoboost, and the 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6. Neither will be hybrid.
I can’t go through your entire diatrabe of garden variety often debunked swarm of negativity (it’s already past 1AM here and I’m too tired), so I’ll just say that electrification is still rapidly ongoing, and you shouldn’t judge tomorrow by the state of today.
Yeah, imagine how many shit overly heavy, thirsty crappy ass hybrids with double power trains and even more failure points you could make, instead of switching over to clean electric-only vehicles.
I like the live version where Zach De La Rocha does this song in a fricking polo. It’s like watching the most angry kid at Bible Camp losing his crap.
Thank you, now it makes sense.
Reference to a Rage Against The Machine song about cops.
The engine will cycle on and off so the engine will run for one or two minutes and it will run off the hybrid battery for 15ish minutes and repeat.
Huh? No matter what I try, I can’t figure out what this is trying to say.
The Police Interceptor version is designed specifically to be able to run all of the accessories on the battery alone while the vehicle is switched on.
I lived in Las Vegas from ‘75 to ‘82, and the first Thanksgiving I was working at a gas station at night, and it was just miserable. We pumped the gas there, and by about 2am (12am start of shift), I was muttering about every damn car that came in because I would barely stop shaking from the last one I had to fill up.…
