Why do I get the feeling Jalopnik is in, "Save Detroit mode"? That write-up is something I would expect to see from one of those early morning "news" shows. Or, is this just the forward before Tommy Kendall's "test drive" on Speed?

I think he brings up a good point by trying to be clever. If you don't read the press release, you'd think EV must stand for Electric Vehicle. Obviously it is NOT an electric vehicle but a Chevy Volt competing HYBRID! It might be an advanced hybrid but I sure don't know that since there's really no information…

Oregon is a great place to spot jalopnik style. The combination of a port city and thousands of hipsters dying to be "different" leads to sightings of old Saabs, Subarus, Citroens, Renaults, etc... I really need to start carrying my camera to document these thinks.
