Oh, totally agreed. The cutaway scenes were pretty spectacular in the first season, and there was so much bizarre stuff (the first Kool Aid Man “Oh yeahhhh!” scene is still an all time favorite TV comedy moment). Then they just became a crutch for lazy pop culture obsessed writers, and the things that were singular

A) Totally agreed. This is not a prejudging attack. It’s a review. Sometimes you have to review movies made by people you don’t like, but you give them a chance to see if you’re wrong. And then, if the content confirms your prejudgment, which it does because McFarlane is a one-dick-joke pony, then you give it a D+,

Unlike the commenters, who are paragons of reason and acceptance, not to mention irony.

American Dad was the exception to the rule, but, sighs all day for King.

It’s getting harder to be a supporter from across the pond, and across racial lines, especially being so removed from a lot of backstory. I hope Liverpool can keep getting young talent, and I hope the carping is more anti-youth than “uppity minority”. I’m not presuming the latter, but I absolutely will not discount

Many agents are lawyers, but a law degree isn’t required to become an agent. However, a particular agency’s hiring criteria might require a law degree, since much of the work is in analyzing contracts and conducting negotiations, which are areas that lawyers specialize in. But, again, it isn’t a requirement. It isn’t

Barely drowning out the wails from the spectres of Brandon Roy’s knee and Greg Oden’s foot.

I’m sure that person has the extensive experience in Charleston and Albuquerque required to “disrupt your narrative” with something besides a false equivalency. Good Lord, it’s almost as if people quibble over semantics in order to avoid a real conversation on racial issues across the goddamn country.

Ha, tis the irony

I tend to think that when teams talk trade, they throw names out. Any names. It’s a friggin’ negotiation.

Enjoy it, my friend. You guys deserve all the fortune in the world after the drought you endured. Entering year 2 of the Official* Ruben Amaro Death March, any tips for how to deal with the upcoming drought?

Don’t feed the trolls man. Their ignorance is their own shame, and they make it public. They hurt themselves with the way they live and think far more than we could with our words.

Same in Philly. Even if it happened to have been the end of times, what a way to go.

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE!!!

Haggar? I Hardly Screwed Her.

Ouch, that one hit me in a dark place

I thought it was just a formality at this point. Background checks for handguns seem to be.

That Astros aren’t even good! What could you possibly glean from hacking them...?

That is certainly an apples-to-apples analogy. You don’t “have” to do anything. It would just be a better argument if you would offer some semblance of a plan for how to take a team to contention before attacking a plan that isn’t even complete yet. But hey, agre to disagree.

Agreed with a lot of that, but I don’t hold any ill will against him for being rich. That’s silly if anyone does. I think his “style” grew repetitious. He wasn’t really growing as a writer, but he had big visions and executed them tremendously. He is certainly a force in sports journalism, whether you like him or not,
