Right? It's funny to start, but then he steps out into the outer office, and is STILL confused, that kills it.

My based-on-nothing belief about that fear/nickname is that a bat flew up her dress at some press event while she was on the campaign.

I was turned off by that rant until Amy asks "…Have you ever had a weight problem?" and it all recontextualized from easy jokes about fat people into strong, interesting character building about Selina's self-loathing.

Agreed - both on the editing being weird - all the little fade-outs and sudden jumps in time made the starts of scenes a little wonky for me - and on the delightful buffet of Jonah moments.

Well, that was awful. Two interesting scenes (the talking-to-dead-people bit, and Walter shooting Olivia), but no god-damn stakes.
Bad grammar, no capitalization, and insults against people who disagree with you. We got a winner, folks!
Did you guys hear about all the likes @avclub-52ed1f89cb6f846e8efba0e4eacf9c27:disqus got once? I don't know if you'd heard.
If you'd like a variation on A Scandal in Bohemia that is NOT lodged firmly up its own smug asshole, I strongly recommend "Zero Effect."

Mental processes that limit your enjoyment of something with no accompanying reward are maladaptive, in my reckoning. What do you get out of over-thinking these scenarios that makes up for missing out on the joy of watching a man be impaled by a unicorn?
Because the movie is better with all the monsters running around.
Actually, the movie it put me in mind of was Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, which is equally self-aware, but about slasher movies specifically. And is great.
Wait, who among your friends are arguing that there could be a sequel?
The bit of that episode where Linda bursts in holding a baby, and declares "I'm naming her Ted!" is one of my favorite bits of anything.
….Would it? I always assume he's one of those guys who's been so colossally famous and rich for so many years that he no longer thinks like other human beings. Like, I imagine meeting him at a party, and talking about my life and its dumb problems, and him getting confused and a little worried, the way you would if…
Even if that is obvious, it's still a question worth examining. Not whether Batman creates criminals in general, but whether he is responsible for the freakish "pop-crime" nature of Gotham lawbreaking.
