Couldn’t they have bought the RV while they had a job and a house, but then lost the job and the house and only have the RV left?
Couldn’t they have bought the RV while they had a job and a house, but then lost the job and the house and only have the RV left?
Yuu need to fuck off and get an empathy transplant.
I think it’s important to understand the difference between a full time RV’er and an unhoused person living on the side of the street in a beat to hell camper. Plenty of people live full time in RV’s either in RV parks or on public lands. These are full functional “homes” with water, power, internet, the whole deal.…
Right, RVs can have all of those things, in official RV lots, but this isn’t that, this is people desperate to live near where they work, but they’ve been price out.
In Arizona right now, they’re building ‘tiny’ houses near the schools where they want teachers to teach, because they’re admitting that the salaries they…
Or they could be made to work triple shifts, then the housing won’t even be a concern.
The most important part is the address. Without one you’re no one in this country. Without a house (apartment etc) you aren’t counted - literally. Getting benefits, a job, all these things become so much more difficult or impossible.
And as long as we decide that “the market” will fix problems like this, it’ll stay that way. Unregulated capitalism does not have society’s best interests at heart.
Her and Channing Tatum’s ex, Jenna Dewan-Tatum-Jingleheimer-Schmitt, or whatever name she’s going by these days.
Gotta love that. Meanwhile I am screaming at the lawn gods because my belt broke on my mower yesterday and slapped me across the foot so hard I had to get stitches to seal it back up. Owning a home is just grand.
we dont have a homeless problem. it could be solved tomorrow. there are about 540k homeless in the united states and 16 million empty homes. if they wanted to they could end homelessness tomorrow. but weve gotta prop up that industry so we keep building on every inch of green space we have and then letting companies…
If you put dumpsters there, someone will probably just convert it into a house.
I hear you, but alas, these aren’t the same as houses, as they have no electrical hookups, no sewer and water easily accessible, no internet, garbage, recycling, curbs, lawns, indeed, most everything that many people enjoy in their homes.

A wealthy region’s governments actually coming up with a practical solution instead of just a new way to treat unhoused people like subhumans?
“We need workers for our businesses!”
Many years later, Roman Polanski would become known for his own, very different, Polanski Touch.
I know exactly where this is. There are a LOT of these sort of encampments in California now. There really isn’t much that can be done about it. Clear em’ out and they’re right back in a few weeks. As such there needs to be some basic safety added in these places. I was coming back from a bike ride a week ago and saw…
Anyone can design a new bag, designing one that’s 49 years old takes talent.
The biggest issue with Ortega, is that she took a standout character, made her own, and then also seemed to start thinking she WAS this character and ignoring that it was written for her. It’s a really thin line between her having ownership of the part, and her taking credit for the character.
