I think what Satan is trying to point out is that Elon Musk, and the companies he run, are known liars. So you want everyone to believe them in one place, when they have been caught blatantly lying in another. We’re to extend them the benefit of the doubt here because.... Why?

That depends. In this instance, the parents were acting in a way that could have resulted in catastrophic harm occurring to the baby, as the jaundice was not mild, but was severe enough that the result could have been brain damage, which is why the doctor contacted CPS, when the parents refused to acknowledge the risk…

I’ve seen the news in Dallas reporting that the child’s bilirubin level (the stuff that causes jaundice) was 21! Which was high enough to cause brain damage. This family had the same pediatrician for 10 years and it was the pediatrician who triggered the CPS process, not just some random doc that the family never knew before.

My thought exactly. Midwives are there to assist with birthing, NOT to provide longterm medical advice or care. A noble profession for sure, but definitely not a pediatrician.

I’m not saying that any of this is justified. If the child was so sick, she needs to be in the hospital. But she’s not... so?

But the person who attended the birth has a doctorate and is a licensed counselor. She is a certified professional midwife (CPM) which means she is *not* a medical professional who was trained…

They will often euthanize animals who took part in the mauling/killing of or handling the body of a dead person. Authorities seem to belive that once an animal interacts with a human in this manner, they can get used to it. That is the concept in laymans terms since I am not farmiliar with the exact terminalogy.
