This is exhibit A as to why the GM-Coach should rarely occur in the NBA. Thibs thinks he can resolve this through coaching/winning, which is insane. Any rational GM would see this disaster continuing to implode the current team and prevent any players in the future from signing on.

You add a comma to that headline, and it would sound like the type of threat that warrants a restraining order.

The Ricky Gervais’ version of Michael Scott is a more preferable version of the character. Unlike what the American writers do with Scott, Gervais’ team understood that the audience is not supposed to like him or believe that deep down he’s this great guy. He’s a loser and selfish asshole. This list might prove my point.

Really?! Well then I blame his parents.

He lost his re-election for a reason.

How does a grown man still go by ‘Jimmy’?

That’s a great list. I’d add Beachhead and Beachhead 2, which use the same death sounds.

To me, because I play RPGs, $80 is worth it (for the C64 mini) not to have to reconfigure my settings every goddamn playthrough.

Carlin had a lot of timeless material with most of his jokes. I’d say the difference between him and Rock or Seinfeld (or even Mulaney) is that a greater portion of their of material feels of its time and for their generations and audiences.

The “attacking the Dems as weak” is such a weird/tired joke because it completely ignores that they don’t have any majority or control in any part of the federal government.

I mean, it is the station for fair (-skinned) people. It’s right in their slogan.

Remember when Fox News and WaPo flipped out over $16 muffins at Justice Department training events?

I think every Marvel movie is pretty predictable at this point. The hero kills some baddies, lives to fight again but not without someone/something being sacrificed in order to defeat the villian (who loses often by a design of the their own making).

To your point on supervillians, every fight scene should be more like the airport battle in Civil War. It’s still the best Marvel movie fight scene. Everyone’s powers keep getting used in more and surprising ways. They use the setting. There’s even jokes about the powers! Plus, giant Ant-Man is great.

It’s either Zynga or Ubisoft. Zynga because of the TT executive connections; Ubi because they held a massive meet-and-greet for former TT employees immediately after the shutdown was announced.

From some history, he was dropped by McDonalds and shelved by Sprite (and Nike for a bit) immediately following the case being filed, so there was some awareness that he was public poison at the time.
