Dammit. I was really hoping that this was going to be the Doctor Who/Big Hero 6 crossover I didn’t know I wanted.
I look forward to the 17-hour long Special Director’s Cut re-release.
I’m glad the episode turned out as it did because I could watch John Hurt’s Doctor take the piss out of Smith and Tennant all day long.
I elaborated in my own comment but I will reply to you in comic book guy speak.
Those sunglasses have got to go.
It makes sense this episode was focused on sleep as it put me right to it. This episode seemed to suffer from a lack of things happening and instead tried to rely on a gimmick that didn’t really fit the episode.
This damn show is making me feel like a broken record. Last week I talked about how they do a great job of NOT hiding the ball for the sake of suspense, and this week was a great example of that. This was a mid-season or season finale level episode, and we got it in the middle of November. Not only did the team find…
I don’t think there were 15 previous breakdowns of the ceasefire. I think there were just 15 previous iterations of the scene with the boxes (where someone on one side or the other pressed the button and nothing happened, only to have the memory of everyone in the room wiped and reset). We were just shown the final…
I’m enjoying it enough that I hope we get enough reader interest for me to keep recapping it.

Much like the A-Team, the 40 year old me has a much harder time making it through an episode than 8 year old me did.
Then it’s already dead in the water... nobody and I mean NOBODY I’ve met is the least bit interested in CBS All Access. That’s even worse than if they said it was going to be on Crackle. If they were going to plug it on Netflix it’d be a winner, probably successful on Hulu or AmazonPrime. But CBS All Access... nope...…
I thought Kill the Moon was intended to be a very blatant pro-choice allegory, actually. The Doctor went out of his way to remove himself from the debate and allow three women to make their own decision. “This isn’t my planet/This isn’t my body/This isn’t my womb. The choice has to be yours, and I can’t tell you what…
I think they could have hinted at the tone a bit more. I noticed those things, but I thought the film was playing them fairly straight and that things would likely end in hugs rather than tears. It’s not like Hollywood doesn’t make blatant racial missteps while playing things totally straight (*cough*Aloha*cough*) or…
I don’t think the “white savior” label is accurate when describing this movie/the true story that inspired the movie. If you read up on the true events or even watch the documentary (which I highly recommend), you’ll see that, in a way, these events work to turn the “white savior trope” on its head, and send out a…
Can we do this “Miracle On 34th Street” style? Everybody post and tweet these badges!
comparing a mostly white nation with a population smaller than Staten Island to a nation over 300 million makes sense...
