I'm now ugly crying in my coffee.

Totally! I mean, what if he dies before he can finish? He's fat, y'know.
He shouldn't get to work on any new projects until he's finished the main series first.
I read and adored Super Fudge and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing in school, but I was too modest and skittish to read Forever. I'm now an erotica author. Go figure.
What kind of miscreant would threaten Judy Blume's life? What ooze lagoon do you exist in where this would be a good idea? Oh yeah I'm pro life so I'll threaten the life of a children's book author, good thinking assholes.
Weren't we just talking about this?
I hope never again to read about Superman's inarticulate ejaculations.
The open carry people are the worst. We had one at work and we were constantly fielding his requests to "carry" at work. He was actively involved with other insane people who liked bringing them to local restaurants and our town fair (that has a zillion kids), and then laughing about how it freaked people out. Such…
I do not feel safer with everyone walking around with a gun. I do not want to have to own a gun. It seems like we are getting to a bad place in this country, and I'm unsure if we'll be able to turn back.
I don't know if you're really joking —or playing off your desire to revoke the 2nd as a joke to try to limit the insane gun nuts. Either is fine, but I wish liberals would argue for a repeal —even if just to move the debate further left. Fuck these gun nuts. It's mind bending that there is a right to own a killing…
It's a shame education has to be politicized as much as it is. If educating children is a business, then the output should be young adults ready for the workforce and overall civil society (more or less). Politicians and educators should seek input from stakeholders in the end product; not pundits or demagogues.
It isn't a secular triumph. It's a triumph for science and for the future and well-being of humanity.
It pretty much was dreamt up by Republicans, though they are loath to admit it.
I agree the connection between insurance an employment is really stupid and was only further institutionalized with the ACA.
When you water down assistance to fit some theoretical and non-actual model of 'pro-capitalism' you will fail almost every time.
What do you call the CW? That shit is B through Z grade storytelling.
I'm sorry, but are you kidding me? As an actual doctor, there have been innumerable times when we have gone through exhaustive meetings on a serial basis with family members of patients who have slim to no chance of getting better or surviving in any meaningful way. Most family members are extremely reluctant to…
Grrr... I hate this. As a physician, we do not order aggressive life extending treatments as a path to riches. In fact, I would argue that it would be more costly to invest the time and effort into doing such aggressive measures in futile instances. Rather, the root of the problem is patient/family interactions. …
And the thing is this picture makes her appear bigger than most other pics. IRL she just looks powerful to me. I played tennis for years. If I saw someone walk out with her muscles and height, I would NOT be thinking there was a conditioning issue. I would be thinking, "Shit. This girl is going to make me run."
I think the difference is that in a western society people get outraged and those directly involved are punished, where as in most muslim societies only a minority would find the stoning of a pregnant woman outrageous, while the majority would be like "she shamed her family so she deserves it". Btw I'm not saying…
