It was an amazing book. I wonder if they can really pull this off well. I will record and eventually watch it, but I’m afraid it will be awful.

Yes, that’s what I thought. That there were 15 times where someone was going to press the button or even did, nothing happened (since they are empty). He erased Kate’s mind but not Zygon Clara’s. He wore her down. I enjoyed the episode. Capaldi was strong and out felt like classic Doctor Who.

I use subtitles for this show. It does help.

I’ve been watching this show from the beginning, and last season was very lukewarm. It felt as if the writers were lost. But I enjoyed this episode. The writing felt strong and there seemed to be purpose. And really, John Noble!

Not happy that this will be on CBS subscription. I have no interest in that service and will not buy it just for that. I’m also unsure if I even want a new Star Trek. I don’t want to see some super cynical version of a show I’ve always loved. I have serious doubts that they’ll keep it optimistic.

DST is great unless you live in an area like I do, so that if we kept DST sunrise would be after 8:30, maybe even close to 9:00, by December. Last week sunrise was around 7:50. It is nice in the summer, because it doesn’t get dark until 9:30 at night, but winter is rough. Either way, this switching times is stupid and

Yes, that’s what I saw too. It more looked as if the writing was making fun of the “over reacting right-wingers”, saying that the over reacting was causing the problems. I thought the episode was decent, not as good as last week, and not as good as I thought it could be. I thought Zygon/Muslim immigrant connection was

My child who liked the scary books when she was little is now 17. She went and saw Crimson Peak, which she enjoyed. We will all probably watch Goosebumps when it comes to Redbox.

So, do I get this for the PC or for my PS4? Can’t decide which would be better.

It’s really a shame, because while the original story does have racist elements (it was written in 1904, so yeah, it’s going to have that) it was a coming of age story about a girl. Wendy is the star. Peter is there to help her. She is the one trying to figure out her role. And the book makes fun of the British class

Really? Why are there no lanes? Who’s responsible for that nightmare? I would just give up. There would be no point in driving is that is what you had to deal with. And it said that people were coming home from vacation? Everyone goes at the same time? That’s just nuts.

If you hate the normal gym set up you could try Crossfit or a kettlebell class. I enjoy doing kettlebell because it combines cardio with weights.

I loved Embassy Town, but Perdido Station was harder to read. Is this new novel YA or adult? I skipped Railsea because it was YA, though I may someday try it. His writing is incredible, and I read through a few of his books even when I didn’t care for the story. He is a very talented writer.

The first thing I thought of was Stephen King’s book Thinner.

CAN’T WAIT. Loved, loved, loved the first season and I haven’t found anything else to match it. Everything about it was perfect.

I just read the story a few minutes ago, and yes, I’m so incredibly sad, but also pissed. What person kills herself over a traffic stop? The whole thing is insane. And to the bystander who recorded the traffic stop, THANK-YOU. You are the first step in uncovering this bullshit. And I’m even more sad that while this

Just brought the game home for my 16 year old. I read him the tips because he won’t take the time read them. He was excited about getting the game. it was sort of a surprise.

That is horrible, really awful. I shouldn’t be, but I am a bit shocked. Why do honest, hardworking, but poorly paid people need to prove themselves? And if you happen to be unemployed what do you need to prove? That is just sad. I honestly hope the show fails or maybe, by some miracle, it gets pulled before it can air.

I enjoyed that novel so much that I went on a China Mielville reading splurge for a while. Embassy town was the first novel I read from him and still my favorite. I hadn’t thought how much an audio version could make that novel even better, and I’m guessing you are right. It would add a whole layer to that ending.

I have it pre-ordered, I couldn't remember when it would arrive. He's such a good writer! I'm looking forward to reading it.
