Wait. They televised the Emmy’s on the Monday of opening weekend of the NFL and the ratings weren’t all that great? I mean, I get it, a lot of you aren’t into “sportsball” or whatever but, um, you are aware other people exist, right?  And they add to the numbers of people who watch things?

I’m a big fan of Larson, but I found the character, her performance and the movie to be a boring slog.  The character has virtually no personality whatsoever.  Whatever combination of writing/acting/directing is responsible, the results were just so, so forgettable.  

I must be having a grumpy day because my heartstrings are not tugged. This trailer didn’t do much for me. But it’s reviews today from the screening have been positive so I’ll probably see it when my friend gets his awards screeners. Lord knows, Hollywood loves a movie about making movies, so expect to get nominations…
