I don’t think the people making webisodes were particularly worried about whether audiences more than a decade after the shows aired would watch them. The goal is to give viewers additional content to keep attention on the show, usually during a time between seasons when new episodes weren’t airing.

I’m sorry that Wendy Williams disappointed you by not releasing a statement that she was going to kill herself.

I wish I could tell you I had some cool trick. It’s the sixth comment down when you look at MeLarry’s posting history.

This seems like a needlessly cruel thing to say. Can’t she aim to thrive, to the extent she’s able, for as long as she can? That’s basically all any of us are promised.

I like that you thought this comment was so good when you posted it in 2021 that you just decided to use it all over again.  The world must know that you don’t like that Rick Grimes was “punked.”

I don’t know who you mean by “Carl.” Are you talking about Rick’s son, Coral?

Your comment suggests there are TV shows and films that aren’t a perfect opportunity to add Nickelback to the soundtrack.  I hope that isn’t what you intended.

Million Dollar Baby 2: Return of the Stool

I have a feeling Quentin Tarantino will be making “last hurrahs” until he’s dead.

Venom made $856,085,151. If Sony executives were betting they could count on audiences showing up for a fan-favorite character headlining his own movie, they bet right.

I totally agree on Edge of Tomorrow. Also, the movie bombed. It has certainly gained cult status (as it should, it’s great) but I’m skeptical that, like, normal people who don’t comment on AV Club comment sections have seen it.

The article is about Cruise and Phoenix working on two entirely separate movies both produced by Warner Bros.

What do these things have to do with each other? I don’t know that you can mash news stories together like this. “Barbie’s over there getting snubbed for Oscar nominations, but at the same time Russia is invading Ukraine!”

Eh, I think it’s pretty weird to say that the guy who made Top Gun and two Mission Impossible movies pre-2005 has taken a strange career turn by . . . making Top Gun and Mission Impossible movies.

It’s a little disappointing that the formula for musical biopics seems to involve just identifying the most famous musician who has not yet had a biopic, regardless of whether they’re especially interesting. I’m a big fan of Beatles music, but I’m not sure the Beatles themselves are especially fascinating. The Beatles

Yeah, I get the sense the author’s view has more to do with his preexisting beliefs about the movie, more than anything he actually gathered from the photos.  The movie was extensively reshot, has been in development forever, and is based on a game series that is past its prime, so there are lots of reasons to expect

The Empire Strikes Back just ends with a big reveal, but nothing resolved, and one of the heroes has been captured.  I’d have done it so much better!” -- Sam Barsanti

We also have pretty good evidence that Spider-Gwen can stand on her own. The first hour of Across the Spider-Verse is really much more a Gwen Stacy movie than a Miles Morales movie, and my sense is audiences didn’t have a problem with that or feel they’d been duped.

The phrase is certainly groan-inducing. The article, however, ties the change to Amazon’s success with things like Reacher and Jack Ryan. That suggests that they aren’t necessarily thinking, like, “Men want to see tits.”
