Pretty sure that you’re not supposed to drive over them just because they’re rounded. Once upon a time in the Scirocco I drove over some disused rr tracks that were half buried in a field. Everything cleared....except my muffler, which they cheerfully removed from the car.

And I’ve cursed for years the fact that whereas the euro version of my car has reverse lights in the bumper, the US spec are above the rear window which means I can’t see a thing when it’s dark.
