This thing. Ooooh.. It gives me heebeegeebees to even watch the video and I’ve not been here in 40 years.

I liked to swim when I was a kid, and paddle around on inflatables and stuff and we used to camp over here every year. The warnings “never go beyond the rope because you can get sucked into the damn”

I don’t think

  1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

“people want to know what their putting into their mouths”
Don’t people in Nebraska regularly vote against regulations like food labeling?

Oh, no curb cutouts?  Agree, lame.

Pretty sure that you’re not supposed to drive over them just because they’re rounded. Once upon a time in the Scirocco I drove over some disused rr tracks that were half buried in a field. Everything cleared....except my muffler, which they cheerfully removed from the car.

Focus. I suppose ‘above’ the window depends on how pedantic you want to be about it (me, very) given that they are as the proverbial tits on a boar.

I’m not sure how I manage not to drive my car off the road, into holes or run into >>choose stationary object<<.

And I’ve cursed for years the fact that whereas the euro version of my car has reverse lights in the bumper, the US spec are above the rear window which means I can’t see a thing when it’s dark.

Every time I go into one of those neighborhoods that has the rounded, sloping curbs, I think, “now this is civilized, I wish more places had this”

But then I see videos like this, or look at the park in my neighborhood where the city had to put down 60 boulders next to the curb to keep people from driving off the

Oh god...my father and his wife’s cars. So take all of what you said, and add overflowing ashtrays, and (“I clean it once a month”) neither of them clean their cars but idk, once every other year so....

It’s amazing.

What happens if you leave the sunroof and windows closed?

Another product of 1976 that had a dangerous flaw, and yet isn’t widely held as an example of why people should stop using the product altogether.

It’s a perfectly cromulent word.

Yes, but I think that was a JATO rocket and a (could be wishful thinking here) RoadRunner/Satellite or something.

touche   :D

I saw a Road Warrior era Pursuit Special replica headed south on I-5 in Oregon towing a cargo trailer in October a couple years ago.

This is probably where it was headed.

Chase pelicans with it.

I’m imagining a scenario where an encounter like that ends the same as has done people trying to take selfies with brown bears.  :D

Impressive.  Most reskins look awkward and lumpy....this looks pretty good.
