That’s just ridiculous....never understood how they made that work (other than selling the bulk of their cars in areas whose use of sale necessitated replacing your car every 3rd model year.)

New Buick (Opel) I like.

Second. A dear English friend used would regularly call me a useless c*nt when we shared a house and drinking problem.

Dealer called man a fuckwit?

That’s a change, usually it’s people like the charming old woman who, after forgetting to turn her lights off in long term parking at the airport, spends 20 minutes chewing my wife out, to say to her “aren’t you just useless” because the service department wasn’t going to tow her car 30

Knuckle-head deli, tried to gyp me off the price.

They should try clean coal, that sells well in parts of country and it’s as every bit as true as clean diesel.

...

That’s a nice interior

I remember sitting in the smoking section of an airplane with my drunk family in the 70's. We used to smoke in restaurants, I lived overseas and I’m talking even as late as 2000.

The horror; I can’t even.

And I was always conscious about the decision that I wasn’t going to be “one of those” ex smokers.

Religion is a cancer, no matter how God is spelled in your language.

Maybe.

Disagree.

Absolutely.

Agree.

That’s wonderful.

When I bought the focus in 04, the second thing I did was tape the door alarm switch down.

Last summer, I was doing something...and am like.. “what in God’s name is that racket????”

The tape had finally worn through. I’d really like to just pull it but can’t figure out how.

.

“Weekends are for sleeping in” Hear hear, I usually never get out of bed before 7 on Saturday or Sunday.

It’s not the heat, I like hot weather (I’ll pedal at 130-140 bpm for hours on a 90 degree day) But I don’t have time to waste dicking around in the garden at the weekend.

Mowing the lawn is an evening thing.

I expect nothing less from someone who slices pizza into squares.

edit: I should have read further down before making this comment.

They don’t need to know how it’s run. They’re good people, they hate socialism. They wouldn’t dream of taking welfare, so it’s not welfare. Simple as that.

The good old, “the best way to see what the republicans are up to is listen to what they’re are accusing the democrats of”

“Medicaid, (which) was almost always a better plan than what I was selling, anyway”

When I was in Scotland, I remember trying to by methylated spirits/denatured alcohol for my backpacking stove, and they wouldn’t sell it to me without identification.

I guess the schemie kids would drink the stuff.
