It looks dumb. I like the concept of what iffing Supes' origin to see how he might turn out bad, but this looks like the writer and director didn't think beyond how the powers would look used on innocent people as opposed to WHY those powers were being used on people.

If you go to farms at high altitude in the Andes, people still chew the leaf almost constantly while working. It has less addictive quality in the natural form, as processing the leaf for the powder takes away several alkalines in the leaf for the one which straight up gets you high, IIRC.
