Yeah, I've heard the story aspect of MGSV is pretty disappointing. I'm still excited, but definitely have lowered expectations.

I've really been digging The New Primitive by Asphalt Graves. Really good grindcore. The new Ghoul is pretty great as well. For as gimmicky as that band can be, I've really loved their stuff ever since I saw them open for GWAR few years ago.

I can definitely see where you're coming from in regards to its relationship with MGS2 (which I also loved). But like I said, the emotional beats just clicked with me more than any of the other games yet, and as far as story goes, that's what's most important to me personally.

If I have time, I'll be playing Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando. It's been a long time since I've played these games and I forgot how fun they are. It's great revisiting this one. I really needed something light and joyful and fun after Metal Gear Solid 4, and R&C is fitting the bill nicely.

How is World Tour? I generally love Mario Sports games, but the only golf game I've played is Advance Tour, which I really enjoyed.

Finishing Metal Gear Solid 4. I've only got act 5 to go, which I've heard is pretty short, gameplay-wise, but that the final cutscene is a marathon. It killed me to put away the game and go to bed after finishing act 4 the other night, so I'm super excited to see how this all wraps up.

Man, props to you for beating Furi in one sitting on your first go! I'm definitely not the most accomplished gamer, but the first boss alone took me at least 30 minutes haha. I've tried the second boss at least 5 different times and haven't won yet. This is gonna be a "long haul" game for me.
