Hm. I like taking my time as well, and I think my friends would be on board with that. Breaking it up into a few sessions would definitely be fun. Thanks for the info!

How long does Until Dawn take to beat? Some friends and I have been talking about getting together at my place to play through it sometime. Is it one we would be able to finish in a day, or something that would take a few sessions?
Not sure how much time I'll have for playing video games this weekend, as I have plans with friends tonight, I'm going to my parents' place to help them move furniture tomorrow morning, and a friend is having a housewarming party tomorrow night, but I think I'm going to start Eternal Darkness. I found it at a local…
Fair enough. I'm fully willing to admit that I'm looking at this from a modern-day perspective.
Huh, I did not know that. Really all of my knowledge of the story came from the fictional film. I knew very little of the true story. I was taking issue with the fact that that section seemed to (almost definitely unintentionally) imply that Elizabeth was a man, but looking at it from Sonny/John's side, it seems like…

I could see the argument that Sonny is bisexual, since he was in a relationship with Leon before he knew that Leon was a woman, if I remember the movie correctly, but his relationship with Leon is not homosexual.
Sorry, I'm confused by your reasoning. The issue is that Leon is a trans woman, and therefore a woman. So Sonny's attraction to Leon is heterosexual, and their relationship is a heterosexual one. I'm missing the connection between that and Sonny's bigamy.
I absolutely agree that the people who love transgender people face ostracism and that they could, in a way, be considered a sexual minority. That being said, the headline says "gay," which refers to a person who is attracted specifically to people of the same gender, and Sonny does not fit into that category. If the…
Wait… In Dog Day Afternoon, if Sonny's partner is a trans woman, then Sonny is not gay. Unless I'm missing something?
I'm about to finish up No Country for Old Men. I really love the bleak, violent, gritty atmosphere. I actually got away from reading non-comic books for a long time, and this is my first real book back into that since graduating college about a year ago. Might read some more Cormac McCarthy, because I've really…
Very excited to see this one. I love horror movies set in bleak, rural, wooded areas. Stuff like Blair Witch Project, The Evil Dead (1 and 2), Pumpkinhead, etc. all feel so evocative and perfect for chilly fall or winter nights.

I don't know what your strategy was, but I found Moldorm a lot easier when I would constantly have my sword charged for a spin attack and then release it when I was near the tip of his tail. I hear you on the difficulty though. It's a really tough game and usually I suck and give up when a game is too tough, but LttP…
The Cane of Byrna is pretty handy when fighting Blind the Thief. You can walk right through his body and it will do quite a bit of damage to him.
Really love those games. And yeah, the definitely improve. I'd say 2 has the best gameplay and 3 has the best story, but they're all great. I'd love to play them again for the first time, so I'm jealous!

Is this book worth reading? I love the idea of combining fantasy with horror, and the overall setting sounds really cool, but it would be a huge undertaking. The only other King book I've read is The Shining, which I thought was excellent overall, but certain aspects like the climax and the hedge animals didn't…
Yeah, I'm currently playing through on medium. It does feel pretty weird to be leaving ammo and occasionally crafting supplies behind because I can't carry any more and have already crafted everything I can.
I'm going to try and finish up The Last of Us Remastered this weekend, depending on how much time I end up having. I've never played it before and I'm really loving how the gameplay always contributes to the story and setting. There isn't a disconnect there. The growing relationship between Ellie and Joel is fantastic…
