Van Isle has ridiculously low speed limits compared to the rest of the province. It is at least 20 kph lower than the average. I drive the Pat Bay hwy from Victoria to the Ferries 5 days a week. It’s a four lane hwy with an 80 kph speed limit 95% of the way. Anywhere else in the province it would be 110.
