I always thought the most obvious reason was that the skies of Mordor had a bunch of these.

I think I made it very clear in the review what the virtues of backtracking in Metroid games are–and specifically when in Metroid Prime the backtracking is overdone.

Why does this need explanation?

Let me remind you where, instead of that scene, he chose to have Pa Kent explain how maybe Clark should have just let a bus full of kids die. Because that’s *my* biggest complaint, right there.

In addition to that, my problem was with the whole plot with the Kyptonians wanting to destroy Earth. It made no sense to me whatsoever.

As I've said, my problem with the movie is not the ending. Superman has killed Zod in the comics before. My problem was the Pa Kent Tornado scene. That was just stupid.

I prefer the name Darth Darth Binks. Darth Jar jar has too much audio repetition.

This is in the true spirit of Douglas Adams. “In order to preserve the soon to be extinct life on planet earth the Democratic Earth Relocation Project (DERP) put in motion a plan to relocate many species to another planet in the solar system. However due to an error in the filling out of form IEEE3495C the animals

Because the rest of you planets are just a bunch of conformists!

“but also every other villain in the film series”

Ledger’s Joker will go down as one of the great cinematic villains of all time. So it’s not just Bale that he overshadowed.

Does anyone think that any Lex Luther or Jared Leto Joker is going to be as engaging? One might be smarter and the other ‘even crazier’ but they’ll never be as interesting as the performance

I do get a bit tired of actors, writers, etc, all focussing entirely on the whole:

But Batman is a dark character with dark origins. Zany and fun go completely against the spirit of the character.

I don’t know about zany but I’m definitely ready for a fun Batman movie.

I’ll say this- of all the actors that have portrayed Batman- Ben Affleck looks the most like comic book Bruce Wayne... so, he has that going for him.

Am I the only one that kind of wants a zany, fun Batman? Like the old 60s TV show? Or a family friendly Superman where he’s the giant boy scout he was written as? I’m getting more and more weary of the dark, grimy, grimdark portrayls.

Around IO9 (and in general) it’s a good move to assume that when people say they’re not down with something, they’re speaking honestly and in good faith. Doesn’t mean you have to agree, or are prevented from putting up a contrary argument, but starting out by implying people are cogs in some insincere “outrage

I would disagree. Voyager was far worse. They only time they actually used Voyager’s premise of being far away from relief and resupply, they hand-waved it away. The whole series should have been like “The Year of Hell.” Otherwise, all they ever did was pay lip-service to it.

Asking for abuse, I enjoyed Enterprise.

Is it a theory? I thought the finale presented it as being the case for the whole thing.
