HTC are the ones pushing firmware updates to our devices, not the carrier. So, they can blame the carrier if they will, but it's in their best interest to investigate and fix this. Unless this happens, well, it's Ebay time for my phone, and research into WP7 for me.

Thank you, the technique is about 15 years old, but still works nicely in a pinch. Better still, retouch unsightly blemishes (say an occasional pimple, or whatnot), and call it a day, leaving your model looking human.
