Instead of downloading new software, you can strip mp3's from youtube videos using the following website.

@Röyksoap: I have been running it on 2 separate machines (one with a 29" Crt and another with 2 22" samsung flat screens) for over a year. Never had a problem. With a plasma TV as a monitor you may have to worry.
