You’re just hearing about them more. The first time I heard about someone being SWATted was the mid 2000s. I woke up to three Oakland PD SWAT teams basically driving an AMRAP through my neighbors front door because his ex-gf told them he was running meth lab. There was no meth lab, but they found 3 marijuana plants…
