I would choose Nero Wolfe (Maury Chaykin) with his trusted man about town Archie Goodwin (Timothy Hutton).   They seldome shot anyone, but always outsmarted the bad guys on the streets on NYC.  With a passion for orchids and food, dislike for work and mind beyond compare, Wolfe is a fascinating man.  Archie is his

I agree with your take on Lee's knowledge and power.  This was not his geographic area from what it sounds like and that he has enough contacts and favors banked to have the type of power displayed seems too much to buy.  He also retired early it would seem with mental and physical issues.  He seems strange to have so

I saw in comments on a website a while back where a swiftard answered every comment and made similar negative crap for every comment on the list.  This girl must have spent hours misspelling words and using poor grammar to threaten and try and bully everyone to her point of view.  It is so sad to watch these kids with

Why is this American camp completely populated with Aussies?  I know the director is from Australia, but it seems odd on top of the time warp effect that all of the  cast are playing at being Americans.  Many were in the miniseries The Slap a few summers back.

Most or all of the people have moved on to other things. The woman who was the lead, Amy Price-Francis, was the highlight of this show.  She has been in several other shows and movies and is not likely waiting for the chance to revive this show.

Many pop idols are famous for their one hit wonder or simply because of a certain look at the time.  Many have little talent and a fan base that is ever changing and tends quickly out grow the silly teen fantasy.  Recently the earlier start with tweens mean that talentless little shits like Bieber get to stay around

Canada?

I thought Girls was an odd porn parody?!  Hannah does, well anybody she can catch.

I was not a fan of Lucy Liu and was shocked at casting her in the role of Watson.  She has really grown on me this season and her low key, but steadfast friendship/student teacher relationship has won me over.  By the end of these 2 episodes tonight I realized she has been the one constant that made me move from

How often does anyone getting their heart broken go smoothly?  Not sure what your experience has been in that arena, but it is usually messy.  In this case it lead to personal growth about his crutch with alcohol and general need to be in control.  Much of the time I find Raj to be dead weight.  This was an episode

I still think the dragons making the slaver shit himself was the best scene.  Mother of Dragons grinning while her babies screech at you would be enough to make most megalomaniacs cringe.  Watching his approach all I could think was this is not going to go well for this guy.

And out it goes with a whimper.

White Van Man was not a good or funny show for an American writer to try to Americanize.  At least they did not kl a good show this time.

She is the mother of Dragons who hatched them in the fire.  Not likely they will leave mom on her own.  Plus, I think the slaver might just make a good snack for the largest one.

I think Lena Dunham should guest star as her character is just as screwed up and sexually ambivalent.  The whole Girls cast could do a crossover episode on Shameless and fit right in with the neighborhood.

Your armchair diagnosis without any baseline of pre action behavior is off base.  This man could have had these attitudes and behavior prior to service.  There are lazy people with no social skills who never saw action in the military.
Look at Brandon's behaviors.  Not PTSD from military, but definitely not

I liked Morrissey much better when he was just mopey and depressed.  Oh the good old days in the 90s.

Todd, you have built this up as a can't fail in your head and you find a way to make it work each week.   So nice to know that reality seldom bothers you in your strange Lena Dunham cocoon.

Part of your question was if this type of programing changes the way we watch tv.  Reread your own piece and question you started to ask.  If they start programing and releasing the full run as House of Cards did, they will not cut it short, they will be able to evaluate the entire season and we do not get the banged

Has yet to change the networks and even cable if you look at what happened with Terriers and some other good shows that were axed too soon.  I cannot imagine a marathon with 300 episodes of Anger management, but I would have watched Alphas that way with no problem.
