The writing cliches in this episode though… "Oh dear god…. Did I do this to him?" Is this Homeland or Spiderman? What the fuck. This season went to shit so fast. As soon as I heard the words "Banana Joes" I was like "We are fucked."

They go through great lengths to set up the fact that all the infected have died off from starvation, which is a smart idea. The military is more lax, and the kids are willing to sneak out because they think the infected have died off.

The way he gets infected is probably the most ingenious part of the script. He thought he sentenced his wife to death by leaving her, and he was raking himself over with guilt all that time—-only to end up directly killing her with the rash kiss/transmitting the virus.

Except that 28 Weeks Later is a far superior film to Pontypool.

Pontypool is NOT that good. The first act/30 minutes are really well handled, then the fact that it is a low budget film that takes place in a radio station affects the momentum of the story in a bad way.

No it is about the father chasing down the kids. The military response is only a segment of the film. The central arc is the Dad realizing his worst fears of becoming the murderer of his family.

No it isn't you idiot. Fantastic horror film, and one of the greatest zombie/virus films ever made.
