The Jeep of Theseus.

Well it does, because Jim-Bob is going to prison then, while the untested self driving software has no additional consequences.

That’s not a reasonable comparison, though. Jim-Bob is explicitly breaking the law by drinking and driving, and can thus be held accountable.

No, it’s not.

Yah. If you take away the “rah, rah, hate the rich” thing, a sentence of 4 years in jail is the STIFFEST penalty for involuntary manslaughter in Cali. And probation for a first offense is a standard penalty.

There is no such thing as “cancel culture.” It is simply what my dad used to call “the consequences of your own actions.” Seems to me “cancel culture” is a dog whistle people blow to project the idea that they think they shouldn’t have to.

“Look, I scrambled because the God’s honest truth is that I don’t really care that staying in bed with Chappelle is a losing deal, and that my company did better investing in talents like Burnham and Gadsby, I keep giving this guy tens of millions of dollars to descend into middle-aged hackitude via his transphobic

Yeah, there’s an unfortunate difference between “I want you to love yourself however you’re shaped” and “I need you to remain heavy and positive so I can feel better about myself.”

Well, if you suspect or worse, know somebody won’t be able to handle the car you’re letting them drive, you might as well be handing someone with no firearm experience or willingness to act safely a loaded gun.  It might be ok, somebody could end up dead.

“...Should you ever find yourself in a vehicle beached on the tracks and you have enough time to get to safety, look for a blue sign containing an Emergency Notification System phone number affixed to one of the posts. Snap a picture of it if you can, as that number will connect you with a train dispatcher — then get

Nothing illegal about driving an A7 while carrying cash, though. He wasn’t cited for anything drug-related, so the story doesn’t need to go deeper than that. And cops are liable to say that any house that a black person walks out of is a ‘suspected drug house.’

You don’t get it do you?  People have the right to be treated with dignity, especially when confronted by government representatives.  Police should be held to a much higher standard than thugs, which is what these “officers” appeared to be.

Did they find drugs? Did they have any probable cause? Bad bust, bad cops, no doughnuts.

lol fuck off with this disingenuous bullshit

Martyrdom on the alter of capitalism is something we as a society should be actively pushing back against.

You seem to be under the impression that the department doesn’t have an entire staff of career bureaucrats whose job it is to do the actual work of the department.

it’s really socialism dressed up in capitalism ideology.

If all jobs are subject to the same imbalance of labor law, then changing from an hourly worker at one plant to an hourly worker at another will not fix the problem. Because the problem is the unjust working conditions.

Really, what does it matter what individuals are earning? The company has been increasing net profit for years without increasing the work force, or compensation. I realize that the workers would not be working there if the company didn’t exist, but the company also could not make product without the workers.

every time a man tells me to "stick to racing," my power grows stronger and I post two more articles about politics

it’s called “solidarity”

I support those workers when the’re struggling, because if they win it makes the entire working class stronger.

pretty much everything the working class ever achieved was due to solidarity

As for “greedy”.... you mean the CEO and the rich people that own the company
