I think someone can be a reasonable politician while not having sexual practices I agree with. That being said, the right has way more history with “I care about your personal morals in the bedroom” than the left does. I’m calling out the hypocrisy in caring about others’ sex acts while then excusing their personal…
I used to live next to a house that had a woodchuck fam under their shed. For years! None of us who parked outside ever had this happen. They mostly ate apples from a small tree in their yard, and whatever else whistlepigs eat naturally.
Auto Mechanic: I see the problem
This is not shocking at all. Making a giant mess to make his base happy (and outrage everyone else), then pretending like they didn’t mean to (even though they totally did), and then coming up with some half-assed cockamamie plan to clean it up that won’t really do shit is the entire plan. It’s the only plan.
IN NORMAL TIMES, I’m a pretty big defender of civility and good behavior. THESE ARE NOT NORMAL TIMES. I don’t know that confronting these assholes does any good, but they damn well deserve it and what else are we supposed to do? Just watch them all fiddle while Rome burns?
That’s what they’re most scared of: facts. Cold. Hard. Undeniable. Verifiable. Facts. In the Internet age, you can’t just shovel shit and expect everyone to gobble it up, thank you, and ask for more.
Good for you! If you see someone say something should be something that we should follow more often. Ms. Mink did a smashing job of it here. Just stated a few of her many entirely justified grievances and left that tool to piss his tactical pants. Keep up the good work!
I said this in another comment, but I’ll say it here again because I’m gray on Splinter:
He ran like a scared rabbit, because of words. She didn’t swear, she didn’t insult him, she just stated facts. Even when you’re civil to Republicans, they run and scream in terror.
You may be tempted to pair that vintage tablecloth with some vintage potato salad. Don’t.
My Trump-loving Father and I got into our monthly blow up yesterday about this very thing. He had the nerve to call me delusional for saying that R v. W is gonna be one of the first things our new republican overlords will go after. He told me to “get off the script” for saying this administration is coming for us…
Same in LA. I talked for a while with an older Japanese-American woman as the march went past Little Tokyo, which is right next to the ICE center - she mentioned how ironic that it was there - it was the same detention center that had locked up their families in the ‘40s.
90 degrees in Santa Rosa Ca and we had a few thousand turn out!
Oh I should also add we’re sorry and lo odiamos más que tú y Vicente Fox
I wasn't able to go, but out here in the Chicago burbs I stopped into a mom n pop candy shop between errands for an Italian soda. The employee had on a t shirt that said "Immigrants Make America Great."🗽
Oh Fantastic! Gracias Mexico
There’s also one in Mexico City, outside the US Embassy.
Just got home from DC, damn it was hot but worth it. My family sought asylum in the 80's so this hits home for me and when the crowd started chanting something about welcoming immigrants...I almost lost my shit.
The Seattle rally was next to the federal detention center where some of the detained parents are held. There were agents on the roof with binoculars and taking pictures. I flipped them off.
