i love lifehacker, don't get me wrong, but i don't think i love it to the point where i would pay $400 to go to a conference, though i'm sure it'd be a great learning experience. as tech is just my hobby i wouldn't go. i live in canada though, so just ignore the silly canadian.. :p

@Joseph: there's a huge misconception about cholesterol. eating cholesterol is not bad for you... your body PRODUCES cholesterol because your body needs it.. there's a good video on the topic.

@dagwud: I AGREE. vegetable fats just don't cut it... i'm not much for pork but i went the pork lard route and my cast iron pan is much much healthier.

it's true!!! i'm glad lifehacker addressed this issue. people are so convinced that animal fat is bad, but it's actually good for you. animal fats fight things like yeast in your body. i was actually a bit chunky when i was a vegetarian and then a vegan, and then when i started incorporating meat like beef, fish and

i'm a fan of napping. the link to the caffeine-nap is broken.

wait, what is this used for?

hey, i like the idea of having your to-do list on your desktop... any idea how to do that in mac? i tried moving desktop widgets to the desktop but then it'll cover a portion of my screen, not just the desktop. i would like it embedded like in the geek tops. anyone know how to do that? thanks!

@Arvin Bautista: "Wait, why isn't this just written into the damn site's code? "

hmmm i have mixed feelings about this new comment system. i like it but it is slightly bulkier which means for more scrolling... but it does look kinda pretty... but i use safari now because it loads everything faster than FF but switch every now and then... i've installed the add-on as i like what it has to offer. :o)

i bike everywhere for transportation so that gets me in shape pretty nicely. so does walking, even more actually, plus it's less stressful than biking.

oh and i forgot to add that fibre is not only in grains... it's in fruits and vegetables. the kind found fruits and vegs is actually better and regulates your... umm.. #2 (for the most part... don't eat too many cherries though). grains were actually regarded as "starvation food", eaten only during famine as they

plants are good. but plants you should consume more than others would be veggies (as opposed to grains). the sugars in grains actually cause you to GAIN weight. that includes millet. BUT if you are going to replace white bread and rice with millet, then maybe that's where it'd come in handy if you NEED starch... but

^ lol.

I'd like HTML supported signatures. I often like to make a small image as my signature and would like to attach that to the end of the message automatically (rather than as an attachment). When I had hotmail they let me do that... but I prefer gmail for many reasons, so yeah. That would be nice.

i get so excited when i see tools like these only to find out they don't work for canada :( where's the love for toronto!

Nice! I can't really compete with that (I guess I didn't feel it was worth it to mount my TV lol)... But I joined the show and tell... here's mine. Clean and simple. :o)

Great article! Thanks for sharing, I've heard mixed things about credit.. good to see an article on it.

Wifi would be cool so we can tinker around on our toys when we're up in the air for hours, but I don't see how that's possible... But they have it on trains and buses so it might be?? Technology these days... :p
