Air Canada is a story for a WHOLE different day.
Two more honorable mentions:
That's pretty standard. Check out Targa Newfoundland. 2,200 km. 5 days of closing roads for closed course stages, many safety checks, and good relationships with law enforcement/government. I covered the Targa Newfoundland rally this year for Inside Track magazine and they have this down to a system. After the last…
We had a cheaper one, but it didn't do the new CAN bus stuff. Our new one does it all and gives a better description of the codes.
Our auto parts stores suck. LOL Canada.
Sounds pretty slick. I may have to look into that. We already have the reader (had one for about 5 years now), but that sounds much easier!
The best part is, it's only like $80 for a decent OBD2/CAN reader on sale, and you can then read unlimited cars unlimited times! It's honestly easy too, just one plug.
I took my old car for an inspection because it was due. They said I failed due to an exhaust leak and that to fix it would be around $100.
Haha I had enough trouble doing a battery relocate, v-mount installation/fabrication, etc on a friend's FD. AAAAAAND we're going to be doing it all over again soon because it blew up on the dyno. LOL Engine is out and apart...now to get the parts and reassemble.
Haha good luck!

Haha I have definitely learned a lot doing this sort of stuff. I've been working on cars since I was 10, so it's not new to me, though I've only been doing stuff with rotaries for the last 8 years or so.
Sounds like my Fiance and I. We bought, stripped, and rebuilt our Mazda RX7 race car together and just rebuilt the engine together. Now we're working on a new project convertible. :)
That's funny, I race a rotory-powered car without much trouble, and a ported one at that. It's the damn transmission that's giving me the most trouble, and that's nothing special at all.
We were recently at a car show and saw a Vega Wagon there. It was a 1976, had spent 10 years in Florida, before returning North to be stored until into the 2000's in a warehouse. It was brown, with wood paneling, chrome roof racks, and it was glorious. Original paint, original velour interior...
In my Mazdaspeed Protege (Spicy Orange), I once had a police officer pull a u-turn and do a fishtail on a busy highway to chase after me. I was doing the speed limit and doing nothing wrong. They pulled me over, and then started questioning me about my gauges, turbo timer, etc. Turns out, they had reports of some…
It looks like H.B. Halicki's The Junkman (1982) wrecked over 150 vehicles, including two Cadillac Eldorados, two Chrysler Magnums, numerous boats, trucks and motorcycles and two Pitts high-performance aeroplanes. They hold the current record for MOST DESTRUCTIVE CHASE SEQENCE IN A FILM.
