my sister thought that this was a series. honestly, the movie either should’ve been longer or they should’ve made it into a series because there was so much more that they could’ve covered. i did not have enough of renee elise goldsberry on my screen tonight. though oprah really did an amazing job in this role. either

yes, that is a traumatizing thing to see your mother go through some much pain at any age sucks.

okay, this might be the right one...i was trying to figure out why 3/4 if she didn’t even have a picture of bianca anywhere.

i think you got it....because she shouts out solange and her step-daughter bianca in the caption.

i really liked her in this movie. that “no, no, no” scene was haunting and is my go to response when i don’t want to do something now. also, i looked up her imdb page and realized she was on good girls revolt as denise, another really good role. can’t wait to see stem and what else ms. gabriel accomplishes!

i don’t know. the producers did a good job with the first season, i’m willing to put a little faith in their ability to get it right. as long as it’s the same team as this season, they may be able to work some magic.

honestly, up until the ending with poussey i was all for season 4. however that ending kind of makes me not want to watch the follow up. i also think (from what i remember) that they could’ve fleshed out sophia’s storyline a little more.

i don’t know at 50 having her “first” child, i assume some planning would be involved.

i think it’s worth a watch, i actually watched it twice in a row. it has her classic wit and humor.

how was 13? i kind if don’t want to watch it because it sounds super depressing (your comment may confirm this) but is it still worth a watch?

i almost didn’t watch this pilot because of what happened with good girls. that show was solid, had a good cast and there was a lot they could’ve done with it with another season. amazon sucks, but i’m guessing this two season pick-up has something to do with the backlash from good girls.

lol, i agree with you on the arrested development part...but you come off as though you aren’t really interested (forgetting people’s names) and no one wants to remind someone of their mother on a date. fyi. how’d you land partners before?

yeah, i got nothing :(.

same. i didn’t grow up in a small town, but wal-mart clothes definitely helped this tall, plus-size teen out a lot in the clothing department and in college it was always cheaper to shop for food/supplies at walmart than any other store.

omg! i love alan cumming sooooo much! and i am pretty sure the only words that would come out of my mouth if i ever got a chance to meet him would be...nothing, absolutely nothing. that’s so cool you actually got the words out!

she was really good in this. i know she’s been up for awards and stuff before, but she did a great job in this.

i loved every single episode. i even watched some of them more than once because it was so beautifully shot and to make sure i caught all of the nuances. every single women on that cast did a brilliant job.

i don’t know i hadn’t read the book, but the way she followed perry after seeing him fight with celeste at the party and the way she held her neck after pushing him down the stairs...not to mention the fact that she ran at him screaming, i figured that she had some history with domestic abuse.

i don’t know how i feel about that. this season was so perfect, i hope a second one can meet or exceed my expectations. the last five minutes of this episode i was out of my seat and my heart was racing as though that was real life.
