My issue with the outcome was that they had a seemingly perfectly reasonable option available - leaving the backmarkers and green flagging the race a lap earlier - but just choose not to do that. F1 goes through these periods where things get....fucking stupid. This latest one being caused by it’s headlong dive into pandering to reality tv and social media.
