See Saw is the absolute worst starting one. I actually dread seeing that one now when I play. The first couple days I got the game I loved it. I always seemed to be in the first or second row and so could get ahead of everyone and usually finished in the top 5. It’s actually the one I got the “emote before finishing

As I close in on the platinum trophy having just finished winning 5 in a row I wonder how anyone can find any of these games difficult. The N64 platformer-style jump physics I guess just fit my specific skill set.

Fair enough. I’ll offer you a different take on valuation—not to disagree with yours, but because learning about how other people see things can be worthwhile (I definitely appreciated your approach!).

Length works for some games. Others, not so much. Sometimes I want a succinct, crafted experience that’s not excessively drawn out or, worse yet, padded with mindless junk

Different strokes. Everything you’ve mentioned(Sims, Beth RPGs, Stardew, etc) isn’t my kind of game. I’m close to 40 and got shit to do, so I like to one and done when I can. Though usually if it’s something I really enjoyed I’ll go back to it every few years. And when I do revisit a title I either marathon the whole

The ambient soundtrack literally had a sobbing woman in the background.

Maybe Twitch has finally realized that the platform is big enough that it doesn’t need to indulge individual celebrity assholes to survive.

The models still look like absolute abominations. I honestly don’t know who decided on this art direction, but its horrendous. Iron Man just looks all wrong.

I think it’s more that it’s kind of irresponsible in general to imply that entire races of people can be “evil,” or “bad,” because of their ancestry or genetics. I think there is absolutely still room to apply the sort of high level morality you’re talking about to factions or larger groups, but this becomes a bit

WOW. This was worth reading for the description of Gleipnir alone. I’d never heard about this show before, but now I’m simultaneously intrigued and weirded out. Sounds like an interesting watch.

BNA enjoys Studio Trigger’s usual visual appeal and a premise full of interesting concepts. It’s pretty fun overall, but very little of its plot sees any follow-through. It’s clear the show is trying to say something, but never entirely apparent what that might be.

The thing is, the motives and story are all there, and they’re fantastic, but they are buried in Lore tabs and obscure scanables.  You have to work to find it and then spend the time reading it and piecing it together yourself (or just go find Byf on youtube and let him do it for you).  Bungie doesn’t want to alienate

From the day the first game was released, Destiny has always had that low, dissonant hum about it. You never really understand what your motives in the game are, or why anything matters. You never see the world you’re supposed to be defending, or the effects the game’s antagonists have on that world. Meaningful

At this point, I think the only thing that would get me to play Destiny 2 again would be if they finally started to make progress toward some resolution of the central conflict of the series. It’s tiresome getting jerked around from one secondary big bad to another, while the overall franchise story is teased out in

“What happened to that ship that was hurtling towards Earth?”

I’m done with Destiny 2, they can have my Deluxe Edition money i don’t care anymore. Moving forward reading about Destiny 2 is more interesting than playing it.

Except the manga is at the home stretch now.

The anime isn’t coming until fall, and there’s no way they’re going to fit the remaining story in a single cour, so if they run all 24-25 episodes continuously they’ll wrap up in March. Whereas the manga should end this year if Isayama’s original estimate holds (even with the delay).

You didn’t read the blurb did you?

To all the folks who quit earlier I’d say come back the water is fine. AoT went from way over-hyped, to appropriately hyped, to now under hyped. Is the series absolutely bonkers? Oh hell yes, is the series also one of the most fun action adventure series around today? Also yes. It may have been surpassed in recent
