I thought Coming To America was excellent, actually. I thought Eddie Murphy was at the top of his form in that one.

Works for me!

“I loved Fawlty Towers, SCTV and the original David Letterman Show but also was a huge fan of Kids in the Hall, Mr. Show and Ben Stiller’s show. “

“I’m even older than you, so for me it’s the great variety-show comics: early Joan Rivers, Phyllis Diller, George Carlin, Moms Mabley, Alan King, and yes,Cosby and Woody Allen.”

Do you work with people younger than 20?”

I absolutely love The In-Laws! In rewatching it, I was surprised at how cheesy the execution and acting were . . . didn’t matter. That movie is still brilliantly hilarious.

Uh . . . you’re not from around here, are you?

Ouch.

Have you tried having an actual conversation? With people?

I’m confused. Is that supposed be bad or good?

Knowing that your most active audience are elderly aunties makes it much less appealing.”

“And that’s why commenters on sites like this don’t really matter?”

And I missed it!!

Ah.  Well said!

Addendum: a few months back, I had to explain to a co-worker that Smokey & The Bandit was not a Western.

Do they make a low-sodium version of that?  I’m having cholesterol issues.

An observation, then a question. Feel free to scroll down to the bottom.

“The bullion of my childhood” is not a phrase I expected to hear when I got up this morning.

Classic stuff, that’s hilarious.
