I can’t wait to see some Wikipedia creative editing.

“Trump wanted to protect himself from an investigation, but firing James Comey does not amount to obstruction” is the “Depends on what your definition of ‘is’ is” of this entire...I want to say farce, but that seems both not fair and too lenient at the same time.

Fortunately, I don’t recognize your accreditation to give me a grade about anything.

Fucking nice pull.

Gotta shoot your shot.

Kind of came out of nowhere. I like it.

Now playing

This showed up in my YouTube recs about 35 years late for the enjoyment of my life. Hopefully, you all out there will have many more years ahead to enjoy it.

“Act like you've slain an Eldar Titan before!"

On whatever MLB talking head show that was playing in my bar, there was a viewer question that said something like “I fully agree that a pitcher shouldbplunk a batter who watches a HR. Act like you’ve been there before!”

Certainly no observer of my zero-sum life.

I think what you say makes sense, and boils down more to ref interpretation of the offsides rule than criticizing VAR.

“deflection” and “involved/participating in the attacking possession

Explaining decisions in depth is relatively rare in American sports. if you watch enough soccer games on mute, you can intuit from replays that deflections can lead to offsides calls.

I mean, then you dislike 97% of offsides calls, or even the concept of the trap?

Yeah, I mean, I agree that maybe a lack of communication is key, but I’m honestly shocked that any soccer fan—even casuals like me—doesn’t know this rule. It’s, quite frankly, one of the reasons I dislike offsides as a rule. (While still recognizing its necessity.)

Some might say sarcastically that this is what makes soccer great. Some might say earnestly that this is what makes soccer great. Both are true simultaneously. It’s a draw!

“The player was deemed offsides, because a tertiary player who didn’t need to be involved in the play gave the ball the business.”

“The rules are too hard to understand, so there should just be no rules.”

It’s “VAR made the right call, so despite any other legitimate criticism of the system, this article is like 1000 words longer than it needs to be.”
