Case in point: the links that I refused to follow to drive traffic to their site. I get that they’re needed for sake of giving context, but it also serves their purpose to a tee. It’s a paradox that I’m not sure what the right approach is.

Anchoring bias and sunk cost don’t play into it at all. His projection was accurate; saying it was inaccurate is a hindsight bias after an injury nobody could have predicted.

Your talents are being wasted. Wasted!

That’s just good logic you speak here.

Gotta pick your battles in this world.

force is not consistent with the American story

The Chicken Martyr” sounds like an episode of Seinfeld, except less realistic; and yet, somehow, too too real.

Has he ever been good defensively? I can’t recall him having much of a rep on that end, but fuck if I was going to stay up to actually watch Sacramento games on pirate streams.

Delete Cousins and turn that into a four-man lineup, and it’s producing a pristine plus-11.7 net rating over 823 total minutes.

Aren’t we all?

yeah, there’s sometimes an air of presumption, like “You don’t know what you’ve been missing” or “I know exactly the kind of things you will like.” And then, sometimes they even take it as an insult when you reject it! It’s bonkers.

So you wouldn’t trade a young player with a bizarre injury, but was a consensus top 3 pick and might benefit from a change in scenery/medical staff/training, in exchange for a 30 year old on an expiring contract who might not be in your long term plans anyway?

Same thing! And agreed; “More for me” is my response whenever someone says they don’t like something I do.

Why not? It’s just a flier on a player who was projected as a top-3 talent, for a 30 year old player on an expiring contract who probably won’t be in your team’s long-term plans, especially if you’re chasing one of the 2019 free agents.

Came to say the same. I wanted them to move Fultz instead of Shamet, maybe include a couple other picks, and get Beverley/Harris.

I wonder who’s going to have the worst “See, THIS is why you don’t pay running backs” take. Smart money says Breer?

The salty finish is the intriguing part. I recently got into shandies, which aren’t as tart, but add the tartness and the saltiness...drool...

It’s that “give you shit” part that I really dislike. Like I said, it almost seems like they’re getting some self-worth by having you validate the things they like. That, or some sort of one-upmanship in the case of “I can’t believe you didn’t know [a maybe common, maybe slightly obscure] fact.” Just a sort of verbal

Yeah, that’s fine, and I’m generally fine with it in these parts. I rarely take online talk very seriously (anymore; had to learn to step away and/or let go of comment sparring).
