He’s not acting like he doesn’t know speculation abounds. He’s saying for media to bite on some bullshit lip reading and turn that into a story that he then has to respond to is a ridiculous state of affairs.
Yeah, and a more reputable source than ”internet guy read your lips in this clip” would merit a more thoughtful or at least substantive response. The implication that pro athletes have to respond to every piece of chatter—to appease a zeitgeist that really should have better things to focus on—is kind of asinine.
Agreed with that, and hate this weird tone. If Zion wants to win a championship at risk of his own health, that’s his prerogative.
