You didn’t even read her statement, did you?

Coerced into having sex and raped are the same thing. You don’t seem to understand how abusers can appear to be a good guy even while they’re abusing. You also seem to have a whole lot to say about things that are nowhere in what I wrote.

Because they don’t disprove her story.  It’s normal for an abuse victim to still be addicted to the abuser for months after the discard.

It’s extremely normal for victims of abuse to not realize they were abused until much later, or sometimes ever. People are taught that being punched in the face is abuse, but most of the less physically severe but more insidious stuff takes a while to recognize and process and some people never do it. Just like Johnny

If she loves it, it’s perfect.

I disagree on tax refunds, and will fight to the death in defense of October.

They’re also still streaming NRA TV and all its take-up-arms-against-liberals-and-journalists content. I used to be a constant buyer from there, and I haven’t ordered since I watched the programming on the NRA stream in the beginning of March. I stop in to tell their customer service why I’m still not buying every few

I would GAF....it’s not okay to pollute other people’s air with carcinogens. Some of the people living at that nonsmoking property are there because it’s supposed to be smokefree.

That custody ruling link was a valuable read. The judge made a point of noting that the testimonies of Allen and his chosen doctor also support that his behaviour was inappropriate, not just testimony from Farrow’s side.

I’m with her on a lot of that, I think. Predators and abusers need to eat and pay bills and they need to work to do so. I don’t believe they should be prevented from doing their work *IF* they can do so without harming anyone. So, for someone like Johnny Depp who doesn’t seem to be hurting anyone but intimate

The show was highly watched and loved, whether it was highly rated or not. It’s smart and funny in a way that appeals to cable- and broadcast-free viewers, and we are the future. If they haven’t figured out how to monetize us yet, they’ll be struggling when the appointment TV types die off.

Have you ever worked somewhere with hundreds of employees, coming and going over a period of years? It’s entirely possible to forget some of those people, even if you spoke to them occasionally. It’s also entirely possible that those people will remember you much better than you remember them, especially if you turned

Just read them. Ew.

This is AWESOME. Most abusers are never even charged, much less convicted, but this will absolutely help make it harder for the worst and most violent abusers to kill their (ex)partners.

^^I was thinking the exact same thing. I don’t know how this news sounds to anyone with different life experiences from mine, but for me...it makes my skin crawl.

It absolutely doesn’t. I’ve learned over the years to compartmentalize my book expectations while I’m watching and experience the movie in its own right, and then get cranky about how much they messed it up during the after-movie dinner discussion. ^_^

As a movie on its own, it’s good but not great. There’s a lot in it that’s awesome, tempered by some pretty bad script writing in places and a few long moments of self-indulgence. 3/5, worth seeing in the theatre.

There’s a TON of stuff to do on a marine base in Okinawa Japan! And a ton of stuff to do offbase, too.

In fact, being strong is one of the reasons women stay far too long before they recognize what they’re experiencing as abuse. You think you can’t be in an abusive relationship, because you’re too strong to have allowed that...so it has to be something else.

Right. I *totally* believe that he said people should be fired for RECEIVING an unsolicited message while white.~
